Almere Library is a new library with a unique and contemporary design.
Almere views its visitors more as customers than members, and takes its inspiration from a department store rather than a library. There are a series of stepped terraces with unusual contour lines. Winding bookshelves (5000 metres) follow the edges of the terraces and organize the interior into different zones for customers. Almere is definitely a departure from the traditional library.

What impressive buildings, I would get distracted by the beautiful painting work and architecture, rather than look at books only. It would be a day out for me to visit these libraries.
